ABOUT GINA DEARING

Like many little girls, I loved watching my mother do her makeup.  

I was fascinated by the impeccable precision. How glamorous she looked when finished... just like a movie star or cover model. As a teenager I spent countless hours in front of the mirror, experimenting with every imaginable kind of makeup and perfecting my own techniques. I soon began helping my friends with their makeup too.

My career started in 1989 with weddings, sweet sixteen parties and quinces. It expanded to include extensive commercial work in runway shows, magazine shoots  and television. Among the many designers, publications and television networks with whom I have worked, Ralph Lauren, Elle Magazine, MTV, and Telemundo are standouts. I love all forms of art and beauty, hence my passion for makeup! Sketching, painting, and sculpture - I do them all which allows me to bring a creative and versatile perspective to my work. My approach is fresh and functional. 

Fulfilling the client's vision is my top priority, whether that vision is fashion-forward, classic and timeless, dramatic or natural. My friendly and outgoing personality, plus my ability to listen, are assets in helping create the memorable looks for women, men and children.
